Date Lab: We hope the drunk lady was right about these two

Annie:
He does the different D.C. sports things, and he’s on a softball team. He told me he is [the] world’s best Skee baller and under no circumstance could I ever beat him, which I challenged him to.

Andy:
She likes Twitter. I am big into Twitter, as well. We were using Twitter lingo [in our conversation]. I was refilling our glasses of wine, and I spilled some on the table, so I said “hash tag fail.” Or, the date was going well, so, “hash tag winning.”

Annie:
[By] dessert, we were more comfortable with each other, and from then on, it was pretty flirty. We went over [the Date Lab budget], and he paid [the extra]. He would not let me split it, even though I suggested it. He said “No, no, no, I don’t want to offend your liberal sensitivities, but you’re not going to do that.” It was probably 10:30.

Andy:
She asked if I wanted to get drinks. We stopped some couple on the street and asked them to take a picture of us. They suggested we go to Hill Country.

Annie:
[At the bar] he said, “I don’t know your last name.” It was crowded and hard to hear, so I put [my name] into his phone. I think he was trying
to get me to put my number in, but I was not going to unless he asked for it. He said: “What are you doing this weekend? I’ll call you.” I said, “You don’t have my number.” Then I gave it to him.

Andy: We ordered some beer. We actually took a shot of tequila. We ended up dancing a little bit. We were flirting quite heavily — getting a little physical, I guess.

Annie:
These people next to us found out we were on Date Lab. The woman was very drunk and said, “No one ever works out ... [but] you two are going to last.”

Andy:
We shut Hill Country down — they were putting up chairs. I made a move once everybody had cleared out and ended up with a [kiss]. We went upstairs. She got the cab, and I think she went in for [another] kiss there out on the street.

Annie:
I definitely gave him a hug, and there may or may not have been a kiss goodnight. I would give [the date] a 4.5 [out of 5], only because I was so nervous in the beginning. We clicked so much — we will definitely go out again.

Andy:
I would say 4.5. I had way more in common with this girl than any dates I’ve been on out here. It went great, [but] as far as hobbies, we’re into different things; she is into arts, I am constantly on the move playing sports. I do think we quite possibly may hang out in the future. I sent her a text message that night saying it was very nice to meet her and I had a good time. She asked me [to friend her] on Facebook last night, so I hope she [follows] me on Twitter. I’m trying to get more followers.

Update: Annie responded to Andy’s text, but says he is not someone she would pursue romantically. They have not been in touch since then.
