A new chapter is set to be written in the great history of el clásico as Real Madrid and Barcelona go head to head once again, this time in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey. The first leg is at Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Wednesday night, with the second leg taking place at the Camp Nou on Wednesday 25 January.
It's a chance for Real Madrid to get revenge for last December's 3-1 league defeat to the Catalans, when goals by Alexis Sanchez, Xavi and Fabregas made sure of Pep Guardiola's eighth victory in these ties in as manager. But his team will keenly remember last season's Copa del Rey final, which Real Madrid won 1-0 thanks to a headed goal in extra-time by Cristiano Ronaldo, and will be desperate to knock the holders out.
